The 4 highest scorers will join the select band of BUMS Hall of Fame players. So don’t delay, reply to this email now.
BUMS Trading Day 2
Make a note in your diary. Next Sunday November 18th from 4pm at HQ it’s Trading Day 2 – just prior to the week 11 games. With season ending injuries to 5 players currently on BUMS rosters (QB Jake Delhomme and RBs Ronnie Brown, Sammy Morris, Cadillac Williams & DeShawn Wynn) and with lengthy injuries to wideouts Andre Johnson and Javon Walker changes will happen. After Trading Day 2 if any player is placed on IR then they can be replaced on a BUMS roster by a free agent. Remember if it’s a franchise player you still have to pay him if you cut him.
Thanksgiving Day
Keep your diary open and make a note that we will be getting together on Thursday 22nd from 5.30pm to see a very key game in the NFC North as Detroit (6-2) host Green Bay (7-1) followed by the Jets @ Cowboys. Cheryl will be doing a big roast dinner for around 7pm to celebrate so please let us know if you are coming over.
Record Breaking Game
Looks like Johnny’s done it again with a rookie running back. In 1999 he drafted Edgerrin James who was the last rookie to lead the league in rushing for the season. Big things happened in the Minnesota–San Diego game on Sunday as Adrian Peterson rushed for a NFL single game record 296 yards and for the season leads Willie Parker by 268 yards! Adrian’s record can be broken but in the same game an NFL record was set which cannot be surpassed when Antonio Cromartie (from Florida State) returned a field goal an NFL record 109 yards for a TD. You cannot have a longer play.
BUMS on Seats
It’s HQ on Sunday from 6pm for the Sky doubleheader – Minnesota @ Green Bay followed Dallas @ NY Giants. On Monday evening San Diego host Indianapolis and on Tuesday San Francisco travel to Seattle. Venues to be confirmed. All are welcome.
